WFP blamed for food crisis in Kenya


WFP have been accused of being bias in picking agencies for food distribution. They (World Food Programme) and the government are also accused of delaying relief food distribution to the northern parts of Kenya which is facing famine according to local media.
WFP suspends operations in much of southern Somalia
MPs of northern Kenya led by their Turkana counterpart Ekwe ethuro said “If anyone is to die of hunger, WFP will be to blame”.

Some people resorted in to eating dogs due to hunger.

The meeting was triggered by the delayance of Emergency operation-protracted relief and recovery programme in northern Kenya.

The WFP denied the claims through its public information officer who said that they don’t make any imposition and Kenya Red cross is their largest partner in six districts
